Joburg's favourite (and most good looking) day party is back as a new weekend pop up event at 44 Stanley.
Feel Good Series is one of the most loved day parties in Joburg. Usually Joburgers and all their good looking friends congregate on a sunny rooftop overlooking the city for a day of oversized cocktails, a dance and live music every last Saturday of the month, it's quite a dream actually. And for the past two years, Feel Good Series also has also birthed one of the most promising small festivals in the city - UMI, our music festival – a fantastic and wonderfully curated showcase of some of our favourite emerging local artists.
As the days get warmer throughout October Feel Good Series has taken up a new open air home at 44 Stanley (old Beer Yard) every Friday - Sunday. Fridays are bar nights, best enjoyed enjoyed with friends and a great way to make up for the lost times with local DJs on the decks and entrance is free. Saturdays are my personal favourite and definitely not to be missed. As the laid back daytime turns to turn up, you can look forward to live performances from our city's growing roster young, talented artists.
The opening weekend featured the mesmerising singer/songwriter Filah Lah Lah who's debut EP Filahsofy has reaffirmed her position as a one of the best new artist releases to come out of SA in 2020, as well as last week's much anticipated Marcus Harvey performance which left the crowd begging for much much more. Look forward to performances from Cape Town songstress Hunter Rose this weekend, before the closing weekend with Joburg by Umlazi rapper and ISYOURS favourite uSanele on the 24th.
Lastly, Sundays are great for the brunch crowd, expect food collabs with exciting young chefs and food collectives such as A&B Burgerhouse, Asian kitchen Meesok and a special jazz loving day vibe from hello neighbor.
A commitment to providing a platform for upcoming artists in a space where live music is appreciated, and artists and their work is treated with the respect they deserve is always welcome from our side.
Check out the action from the first two weekends below.
We have two double tickets to give away for this weekend's live shows with Hunter Rose and uSanele on the 24th. DM us on Instagram to enter, and let us know which artist you want to see.
